Rocket City Roller Derby PRIDE Home Bout benefitting Rocket City Pride

Celebrate PRIDE month with Rocket City Roller Derby in our third home bout of the season!

This  Pride themed event is especially significant as we are highlighting  influential people to the LGBTQI+ community. The two mixer team names  will be Team Marsha, after Marsha P. Johnson, who was an avid activist,  known for being a part of Stonewall, and Team Magnus, after Magnus  Hirschfeld, who was a German doctor who pioneered LGBTQ healthcare.

PRIDE  events often fall under the wider aesthetic of the original pride of progressive pride flag, and while we love a rainbow moment, we want  folks to show off how they feel most comfortable. For the attire of this  pride event, “come as you are” - gay, bi, trans, lesbian, gender  expansive, queer, ace, ally, and all the other pieces that make up this  bright and colorful puzzle are what make this community special and we  want them to be recognized.
