About the Event
As Pride Month approaches, we continue our annual tradition of gathering as a community—coming together to reflect, address important matters, and exchange ideas as we collectively shape the way forward. We are grateful and thrilled to have Carmarion D. Anderson-Harvey as our moderator.
Carmarion is a passionate community advocate whose work includes:
Coordinating the National HIV Behavioral Surveillance (NHBS) Project, focusing on transgender research.
While working with HRC, led a legislative team responsible for advancing and defeating all anti-LGBTQ bills introduced in Alabama. Led legislative efforts to counteract and defeat anti-LGBTQ bills during legislative sessions.
As a Master Consultant for the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum, Carmarian developed and supported an evidence-based curriculum for transgender women affected by HIV.
