About the Event

In  honor of Black History Month, and in partnership with Common Grounds AAMU, Rocket City Pride brings you our 3rd annual event honoring the experiences of Black and Queer people in the South. We will begin with a screening of Rustin, a Netflix documentary exploring the life of Bayard Rustin, an incredibly important and influential civil rights activist. A panel discussion will follow to discuss the challenges he faced and the struggles that continue for the queer black community today. All are welcome!
